One can only begin to imagine!
Antares is the 15th brightest star in the sky. The sun is one of the small dots you can't make out.

I find this picture very interesting. I have seen it before but it is a little humbling. One has to wonder about if we are really the only ones around. Has God created before on another planet like He has ours? Is there life out there somewhere? Will we ever know? What do you think?

I think we're pretty insignificant, which makes it really amazing that God cares about us.

As to other life -- I tend to doubt it. And scientists seem to think that we're in an absolutely unique place in the universe, the only one that can sustain life like ours.

I would say I have to agree but the question will always be raised until the end of time. Wouldn't it be interesting to find life out there. How would we actually react?

Interesting post. I think it would be pretty rash to say we were the only ones.I would like to hear the reasoning to base that on. With a God as great as He is and with the vastness of space it is very possible. We are so finite that we cannot imagine how or why it could happen, but with God all things are possible. I guess one day on the other side we will find out, and only then it will be merely human opinion not facts that we base our thoughts on.
One mentioned scientists...they also believe in evolution and no God. In all actuality the possibility for life based on their theory of chance is very possible. In that big bang that blew into existence everything that we see, who is to say that the same process did not start on another planet. (.....ok I am being facetious but it is an interesting discussion!)
